Dean Guitars was founded by Dean Zelinsky in 1976, when Zelinsky was 17 years old. Dean is best known for their line of electric guitars, bass guitar and several acoustic guitar models as well. They also produce their own pickups, called DMT (Dean Magnetic Technologies) as well as amplifiers for electric, acoustic, and bass guitars.
